Initial wireframe concepts that served as blueprints for the development of the webpage designs
Project Overview
01
Solving a problem of accessibility and discoverability
The purpose of this project is to organize hundreds of original artworks into an online gallery experience that allows anyone on the web to view, read about, and explore the art at their leisure. The works are themselves part of a larger company initiative that is reflective of its core values, known as the "Paradise Project". These newly designed webpages not only create a space for the art itself, but also a place where Think Round's treasured values of family, love, friendship, communication, and connection can flourish too.
02
Staying true to the ethos of Think Round
Fun, playful, and uplifting. These webpage designs aim to capture the essence of Think Round, while simultaneously creating a fluid and seamless virtual gallery experience for anyone who wishes to explore for themselves. Maintaining a balance between necessary functionality and visual aesthetics proved to be an exciting and rewarding journey, which has helped shape these designs into a product that feels like a natural addition to the Think Round website.
03
Collaborating with a team of designers and software developers
Communication and collaboration played a central role all throughout this project. I worked directly with a small team of two other UX/UI designers, who themselves handled two critical components of this project - a mobile adaptation and a fullscreen viewing mode for the desktop version. While the designs you see here have been created entirely by myself, it is thanks to continued constructive feedback and critique from my teammates and others, that I've been able to bring this project out from imagination and into reality.
A talented team of software developers are currently in the process of transforming these designs into functional webpages, by applying custom code into Squarespace, where the current Think Round website resides.
